Architectural Leadership with a Community Focus
Michael Goldblum is the founding partner of Building Studio Architects (BSA), where he has built a practice dedicated to preserving history, serving communities, and designing for impact. With over 100 projects completed in the Bronx since 2000, Michael has become a trusted resource for residents, institutions, and city officials, blending architectural excellence with social responsibility.
As a Commissioner at the NYC Landmarks Preservation Commission since 2010, Michael plays a key role in shaping the city’s architectural heritage. His work spans historic preservation, public housing, and religious institutions, including over 20 faith-based communities and 12 parochial schools. His deep knowledge of Jewish tradition and culture informs his designs for synagogues, schools, and community centers, ensuring they reflect both historical continuity and modern functionality.
Michael’s passion for architecture extends beyond his practice. Through his involvement with the Bronx AIA Chapter and advocacy for public housing improvements, he helps communities envision a stronger, more sustainable future.
